APPLICATION PROCESS
MHC Vocal Studies Department Audition Requirements
If you are interested in studying in the MHC Vocal Studies Department, please complete and submit the application for the MHC Vocal Studies Department no later than 12:00 on Sunday, May 15 2022.
In the application, you will be asked to include links to video and/or audio recordings of you performing two (2) selections. Art songs, operatic and/or oratorio arias from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and/or 20th century periods are all considered acceptable options for your recorded submissions.
There are four (4) possibilities for studying in the MHC’s Vocal Studies Department:
1)The Diploma Program
2)The Artist Certificate Program
3)Taking some classes in the MHC Vocal Studies Department while being enrolled as a student in another Greek conservatory (please note that this option does not result in a diploma or certificate from the Musical Horizons Conservatory)
4)Taking individual voice lessons with Don Marrazzo, Head of the Vocal Studies Department and Professor of Voice
In accordance with the educational branch of the Greek Government, if you are applying for the Diploma Program in the MHC’s Vocal Studies Department, you will be directly admitted to the program and the recordings submitted with your application will be used for the purpose of placing you into the appropriate classes.
If you are applying to the Artist Certificate Program, please note that admission to the program is not guaranteed. The recordings you submit with your application will be used to determine your eligibility for admission. If admitted to the MHC Vocal Studies Program, the MHC will work with you closely to individualise and plan your course of study in the Artist Certificate Program.
If you are applying to take some classes in the MHC Vocal Studies Department while being enrolled as a student in another Greek conservatory, the recordings submitted with your application will be used for the purpose of placing you into the appropriate classes.
If you are interested in the possibility of taking individual voice lessons with Don Marrazzo, no recordings are required. Please simply contact Mr. Marrazzo at donmarrazzo@wmo.gr to schedule a consultation lesson with him.
We are currently working on a hybrid in-person/remote schedule due to the present global pandemic situation, so the best way to contact us is by email. In order to answer your inquiries promptly, we ask that you do not call our offices, but rather that you use the email addresses below:
